What we do
Emergency Housing and Transitional Living Program
Youth and young adults may experience homelessness for various reasons. Some age out of foster care, some were forced to leave their former place of residence, while others left voluntarily because of being mistreated by family. These young people have very little support. As a result, they often find themselves unprepared for the pressures and responsibilities of adult life. Our housing programs provide safe and secure shelter, life skills training, workforce readiness training and financial literacy training, empowering youth to improve their well-being and economic mobility. We focus on LGBTQ youth, immigrant youth and minority youth who are 18 to 24 years old.
After School Enrichment Program
At-risk youth ages 16 to 24, when not participating in meaningful activities to keep them engaged during their leisure time are more likely to get in trouble. High quality after school programs involving visual and performing arts, music and film production, leadership development, sports and tutoring are urgently needed for low income youth. With the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned to mainly online activities. The goal of the program is to engage and empower young people in productive use of leisure time through strengths-based social development activities.
